Rocco Simari

I'm a former Industrial Arts high school teacher who fifteen years ago became a stay at home dad. I'm a husband to a loving wife and father of four wonderful teenagers, two boys and two girls, and our dog Briar Roze.

I love history, though I never became a historian. I love photography, though I never became a photographer. I love to cook, though I never became a chef. I love to build so I became a carpenter.

I did so because my father was a carpenter/woodworker and I was always at his side ever since I was a child. I learned the trade from him and eventually went on to college and earned my degree in education.

I'm passionate about a lot of things I do, and one of the things I'm most passionate about is to write. I started this blog because it gives me a chance to write and share my ideas and skills with an audience.
